Baby Boomers

Boomers fun

Jane Self with fellow Baby Boomers.

As a true leading edge Baby Boomer (born early in April 1946), I’ve been forever fascinated with the power and clout of this generation.

Not to mention our eccentricities, which are many!

As those of us born the first year as well as a few of those on the cusp (born in the war years but before this generation officially began) are pushing late 60s and early 70s, we’re paying a lot more attention to aging issues.

However, one of our characteristics is that we refuse to grow old – at least, most of us do.

Of course, you’ll always find somebody complaining about getting “too old” for this and that. They are exceptions.

A few months ago, I decided to develop a website devoted to our quest for youth, for fun and for the good life.

Thus Baby Boomers Bloom was born and actually is the continuation of an exploration that began way back when for me.

Our Footprint

One thing I’m sure of – having a great life is not all about me. It’s much more about who I am for others and what size footprint I’m leaving on the planet.

What used to be a search for meaning of life has become more a search for making the most out of what we have now.

Finding ways to make a difference, to contribute to my community, to be healthy and loving, kind and generous.

One thing I’m sure of – having a great life is not all about me.

It’s much more about who I am for others and what size footprint I’m leaving on the planet.

So, come play with us and join the pursuit for living with gusto.
